APPEARANCE:
Deep garnet colour, almost pitch black, with orange hues.
NOSE:
Pomegranate, jammy red and black berries (raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry and cassis), leather and smoke followed by intense cure meat and barbecue notes;
PALATE:
Surprisingly fresh, this massive full-bodied wine shows aromas of dried plum, violet, dried herbs, clove, hints of undergrowth and some chocolate and coffee notes. The length is exceptional, and its smokiness last on the tongue for up to 15 caudalies!
FOOD PAIRING:
Slow roasted barbecue ribs, aged cheddar, juicy beef tenderloin with cranberry sauce.
